Action Steps

Answer this question – What are you doing this week to grow your leadership?

Session Transcript

Lily: So, many leaders describe themselves as life-long learners. What does that mean to you and what are you learning now?

Michael: It’s different today than it probably was 10 years ago. To me, life-long learner would’ve been, I’m a reader, or I listen to podcasts, or I go to conferences. To me, that’s what it would’ve meant before.

Today, what life-long learner means to me is, I’m more evaluative than I’ve ever been before, personally and about those closest to me, and about our work. I’m constantly looking for ways that I can learn from those who are closest to me, and help them. I think it really goes back to the quote we mentioned from Andy Stanley that, “Your greatest legacy will probably not be something that you do or you become but something that someone else does or becomes in their lifetime. Something you help them to do or become.”[/text_block]
